Agency Services Statement

A BABY TO LOVE ADOPTION AGENCY will facilitate adoptions in every state except New
York and Connecticut. Interstate Compact regulations prevent us from placing children in these
two states.

The agency is licensed by the state of Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to
place healthy newborns and infants up to the age of 6 months of age into adoptive homes. The
agency is licensed only for U.S. Adoptions.

We are dedicated to providing adoption services to any person without regard to race, color,
ethnic group, national origin, sex and or religious affiliation.

Counseling is the Primary focus of the agency.

We provide counseling for the Birth Mothers throughout the pregnancy from the first
meeting and up to 6 weeks after giving birth to the Child. Our adoption counselors will
communicate with the Birth Mother on a weekly basis by telephone or in person and provide
one on one counseling as needed by the Birth Parent.  The counseling can be anything from just
listening to her concerns to providing emotional support and or grief counseling.  The agency
will work with the Birth Mother in working on plans for her future after the birth of the baby and
setting goals and the ways to achieve the goals.  The availability of counseling services for the
Birth Mother is based on the individual and her needs and her willingness to accept the
counseling.   Counseling is available to the extended family as needed up to 6 weeks after the
birth of the baby.

Counseling for the Adoptive Parents will be available from the time they first call the
agency and inquire about the adoption process through to the finalization of the adoption which
includes the waiting period after the home study, the birth of a child or the placement of a child
in their care, and the time up to the finalization of the adoption.  All areas are explored between
the Birth Parents wishes and the Adoptive Parents wishes and expectations. Medical and genetic
background information is provided to the Adoptive Parents to help in this decision making, as
well as any personality traits or talents, etc.  The same counselor will work closely with both sets
of parents to ensure that a desired and successful match is made. Counseling is available to
adoptive families from the time of the home study until the finalization of the adoption.

A Baby To Love Adoption Agency will assist Birth Mothers in locating a qualified OB/GYN
for obstetrical care that they feel comfortable with and is of their choosing.  We guide them in
the selection of a hospital and or any other services they need, including but not limited to
social services, housing, transportation, food and or prenatal education.  Once a Birth Mother is
accepted by the agency we start on getting her prenatal care started as soon as possible. We will
work with Birth Mothers who smoke or use marijuana, provided that the Birth Mother agrees to
discontinue the use of any smoking while pregnant.   No other use of any illegal substances is
acceptable and if abused the Birth Mother will be advised that we will not be able to continue to
assist her.   The Birth Mother will be asked at the intake interview to agree to drug, HIV, and
sexually transmitted diseases testing as soon as possible and again at birth.
Birth Mothers are provided assistance as needed with the following:  rent, utilities, groceries,
prescriptions and personal hygiene products, transportation for counseling and medical
appointments, and maternity clothes, on an as needed basis and in keeping with licensing
standards.

A Baby To Love Adoption Agency will provide adoption services to prospective adoptive
parents who wish to adopt a healthy newborn infant from birth to 6 months of age.  The agency
agrees to pay all necessary medical expenses incurred in the delivery of a healthy newborn
infant, necessary basic living expenses required by the Birth Mother and in keeping with
licensing standards and agency policy, and all of the legal expenses incurred in an uncontested
adoption up the consummation / finalization of the adoption.  The agency will provide all of the
above services for a set application fee and a set adoption fee of which the adoptive applicants
agree to pay set fees.   Open, Designated, and Identified Adoptions are available as desired by
Birth Mothers and agreed to by Adoptive Parents.  The agency does not work with closed
adoptions.   The agency goal is to have an adoptive placement for each child as soon as possible
after birth.

Fluent Bi-lingual Spanish speaking counselors are available round the clock, who are
trained in and know the different cultural norms for the Hispanic population.
